Father they are my favorite if anyone wants to know where to buys these monks albums they are on musica russia and russiandvd.com. They have a few out wish all chant sounded like that thanks Father

Couple of weeks ago, I visited the New-Valamo in Heinävesi, Finland. These 200 monks left Russia during the war because of severe difficulties. You can visit their site at http://www.valamo.fi Check the English page on the left side otherwise you may get the Finnish page.
Last week I heard a group from Valaam who were travelling through Finland and who sang just like the above video. So beautiful and though I did not understand the Russian or Greek words, the harmony and style was trememdous.
I hope to back to Valamo and do some volunteer work. Blessings to all.

Valaam Monastery is on the border of Russia and Finland. I do not believe it has any bearing to the name Barlaam.
